About the Alors on Danse trend
The Alors on Danse trend is a two-person remake of a comedy sketch that's been a meme for years. "Alors on danse" is Belgian musician Stromae's French-language dance track, first released in 2009 and later included on his 2010 album Cheese. The clip people are remaking comes from a 2010 sketch with Stromae and French comedian Jamel Debbouze in a plain white studio: Stromae plays a small keyboard while Jamel gestures, hypes him up and jokingly takes credit for the song.
In 2026 the sketch resurfaced on TikTok and Instagram, and AI remakes followed, swapping the two performers for friends, couples, rivals and fictional characters while keeping the routine, the camera and the audio.
